• NJ PTC Basic Police Officer Certification or, Waivable SLEO II, or currently enrolled in a Basic Police Officer Academy class. Education: A bachelor’s degree, or (2) an associate’s degree or at least 60 college credits, plus two years of satisfactory employment; or (3) at least 30 college credits, plus two years of active duty military service with an honorable discharge. Age: Not less than 21 years or more than 35 years of age. Citizenship: Be a citizen of the United States. Residency: Be a resident of New Jersey while serving in such position.
